About the author

Oliver Duillier, whose real and generally unprouncable name is Olli Kääriäinen, is a Finnish national born in Helsinki in 1979. He has spent the majority of his life abroad, living on four different continents in the wake of his parents’ diplomatic careers. After six years of studying moral and social philosophy at the University of Helsinki without actually achieving anything, Oliver abandoned all pretenses of productivity and surrendered to a life of mediocrity. Thanks to the generosity of others, Oliver was granted a second chance in late 2007, when he suddenly found himself in the Middle East and suffering from delusions of literary grandeur. He is now writing what he hopes will be the first of many incredibly bad novels to plague the world and immortalize his name as a desecrator of the English language.
Oliver is currently single and enjoys long walks on the beach, undue praise and stumbling upon large bags of free money.
